What Use Application Commands allows
- Use slash commands, including a bot's, in the channels where they hold it.
- Use user and message context menu commands.
Things to know
- It applies to text, voice and stage channels, so a channel can deny it.
- Server admins can also restrict individual commands under Server Settings, in Integrations.
- Apps a member installed to their own account need Use External Apps to send public replies, unless the app is also installed to the server.

Questions
- Why can't members see my bot's slash commands?
- Check that members have Use Application Commands in that channel, that the bot has registered the command with Discord's API, and that command restrictions under Integrations haven't hidden it.
- Does a bot need Use Application Commands?
- No. The permission controls whether members can use commands. A bot makes its commands available by registering them with Discord's API, and adding a bot with the bot scope already includes the applications.commands scope.
- What is the integer value of Use Application Commands?
- Use Application Commands is bit 0x80000000, so its permissions integer is 2147483648 when it is the only permission selected. To combine permissions, add their integers together (or OR their bits).
- Does Use Application Commands need two-factor authentication?
- Discord's permissions documentation does not list it among the permissions that require two-factor authentication.
