What is a Discord embed builder?

A Discord embed builder turns form fields (title, description, color, fields, images and footer) into the JSON Discord uses for rich embeds, and shows a live preview of the result. Copy the JSON into a webhook request, or copy the discord.js code into a bot.

Questions

What is the character limit for a Discord embed description?
4096 characters. The title, description, field names and values, footer text and author name in all of a message's embeds also have to add up to 6000 characters or fewer.
How many embeds can one Discord message have?
Up to 10 rich embeds per message, as long as their combined text stays within the 6000 character total.
How do I send an embed with a webhook?
Create a webhook in the channel's Integrations settings, then send a POST request with a JSON body containing an embeds array to the webhook URL. The builder's Webhook JSON output is that body.
How do I set the color of a Discord embed?
The color is the hex RGB value written as a decimal integer. #5865F2 becomes 5793266. The builder's color picker converts it for you.
What does an inline embed field do?
Setting inline to true lets neighbouring fields sit side by side instead of each taking a full row. Discord shows up to three inline fields per row.
Can I use markdown in a Discord embed?
Yes. Descriptions and field values support Discord markdown such as **bold** and [links](https://example.com). Discord renders the formatting when the embed is posted; the builder's preview shows the raw text.
