Team access
Team access lets other people help run your server's dashboard without you sharing your Discord account. You choose who is on the team and what each person can do.
Roles
Owner
The person who set the server up in CordBase, or was given ownership. On a paid server, that is the person paying. Can do everything, including the things below that no one else can.
Admin
Everything on the permission list. Cannot do the owner-only things.
Staff
View data, edit data, and export data. Nothing else.
Custom
A permission set you build yourself, with exactly the permissions you choose. Give it a name and assign it to people.
Permissions
Admin holds all ten permissions. A custom set can hold any of them.
- View data: See tables and rows
- Edit data: Add and edit rows
- Delete rows: Remove rows from tables
- Export data: Download CSV or JSON
- Manage tables: Create and edit tables and columns
- Delete tables: Remove a table and all its data
- Manage table access: Choose which Discord roles can use each table
- Manage saved views: Create and edit filtered views (Pro plan)
- Manage scheduled posts: Create, edit, pause and delete (Pro plan)
- View analytics: Usage and activity charts
Adding someone
- 1. In Discord, turn on Developer Mode (User Settings, Advanced).
- 2. Right-click the person and choose Copy User ID.
- 3. Open your server's Team page in the dashboard, click Add a person, paste the ID, and pick a role.
- 4. Tell them. CordBase doesn't message anyone, so let them know they can now sign in to the dashboard with Discord and find your server under Shared with you.
What only the owner can do
- Billing
- Publishing templates
- Managing the team
- The activity log
These can never be added to a permission set, even for an Admin.
Activity
The Activity page lists changes to the team, tables, schedules, bulk edits and exports: the most recent 100 from the last 90 days. Single row edits aren't listed. Only the owner can see it.
Changing the owner
On a free server, the person Discord lists as the server's owner can take over CordBase ownership from the server picker (if you are already on that server's team, leave it first, then pick the server), and the current owner can hand ownership to an Admin from the Team page. On a paid server, the person paying is the owner. To change who pays, email support@cordbase.gg.
Good to know
People on your team can use any table from the dashboard, even tables restricted to a Discord role. Discord role permissions still control who can use the bot's slash commands.
If someone leaves your Discord server they keep dashboard access until you remove them. The Team page flags them.
