CordBase vs CoGM, Raid Warden, Guild.Rest and other DKP bots

Written by the CordBase team. Competitor prices and features checked against their own sites; see sources below.

The short answer

If you want loot auctions with bids in Discord, automatic DKP decay, a raid calendar and points paid for attendance, use a dedicated raid tool. CoGM and Raid Warden cover all of that, Guild.Rest covers auctions and attendance points, and CordBase does none of it. CordBase fits when you want to replace the spreadsheet itself: DKP standings, a loot log, a roster and a guild bank as tables you design, for any game, updated with slash commands. You can also run both: a raid tool for raid night and CordBase for the other records.

What the raid tools do well

CoGM is a Discord bot and web dashboard for MMO guilds. Its free plan covers rosters, event scheduling and signups, and attendance tracking for up to 30 active members per guild. Pro ($10 a month per guild) adds a DKP tracker that pays points when attendance is marked, keeps a ledger of every change and applies decay by hand or automatically: a percentage off every balance above a floor. Pro also adds loot auctions for WoW: Forever and Monsters & Memories, where members bid with buttons on a post in Discord, in open or sealed format, with anti-snipe and outbid DMs (CoGM DKP tracker, loot auctions). CoGM lists Black Desert Online as live, Throne and Liberty as playable, and World of Warcraft: Forever, Aion 2 and Monsters & Memories as in beta, with more games in development (CoGM games).

Raid Warden is a web workspace for raid guilds: a monthly raid calendar with one-time or recurring raids, signups by character, attendance checks with full or partial credit, ledger-based DKP and live bidding during the raid. Leaders pick DKP rules from a list that includes open, blind, silent, fixed-price, zero-sum and decay, and can export roster, attendance, DKP, bid and loot records. In Discord it has slash commands for raids, signups, DKP and the roster, and posts notices to channels you choose (Raid Warden features, help).

Guild.Rest is a Discord bot and dashboard for attendance, DKP and points, loot auctions with class-restricted items and percentage-based bid increments, a guild warehouse and a Growth Power leaderboard. It says it's currently optimized for Ymir, with game selection planned (Guild.Rest).

If your loot system runs on auctions, decay and points for attendance, these tools do that work for you. CordBase doesn't. It has no bidding, no decay, no raid events or reminders and no automatic attendance. For signups on an event post, see event bots.

Where a table fits better

Raid tools are built around their model of a raid: characters, classes, events, bids. That's why they're quick to set up for the games and loot rules they support. It also means the fields are theirs. When your game isn't on the list, your rules don't match a built-in one, or you track things they don't cover, the spreadsheet usually stays. That spreadsheet is what CordBase replaces.

How CordBase handles DKP

CordBase turns tables you design on the web into slash commands. The DKP guide uses two tables:

  • Standings, with name, player (member), dkp (number) and class columns. Officers run /dkp update row:Thrain dkp:10 _mode:Increment after a raid and _mode:Decrement when someone spends points. Both are applied to the stored value, so two officers changing points at once both count.
  • A loot log (the Loot Log template: item, received by, source or boss, rarity, date) so everyone can see who got what.

/dkp leaderboard column:dkp shows the standings. Role permissions decide who can change points (write) and who can only look (read). The same server can keep a Guild Bank, a Roster, an Application Tracker or a raid signup list, each with its own command and up to 25 columns. Members never leave Discord and don't sign in anywhere; only admins who design tables use the web dashboard.

What you give up: auctions happen in chat or voice and you record the result, decay is applied by hand, and there's no CSV import, so existing standings are entered with add or in the dashboard.

Prices (checked October 2026)

  • CoGM: free up to 30 active members per guild. Pro is $10 a month per guild for up to 300, plus $5/month per 200 more. DKP is on Pro, and so are loot auctions for WoW: Forever and Monsters & Memories. Pro has a 14-day free trial (CoGM pricing).
  • Raid Warden: no prices listed on its site.
  • Guild.Rest: no prices listed. You request a license key from the developer, and a 24-hour free trial is available (Guild.Rest).
  • CordBase: free for 2 tables and 100 rows per table. Pro is $8/month per server for unlimited tables, 10,000 rows per table and CSV/JSON export; Team is $15/month for 50,000 rows per table (pricing). Member count doesn't change the price.

Choose DKP and raid bots if

  • You want loot auctions in Discord or automatic DKP decay.
  • You want raid events, signups and attendance that awards points for you.
  • Your game is supported and the built-in loot rules match yours.

Choose CordBase if

  • You want to replace a DKP or roster spreadsheet for any game, or for a group that isn't a raid guild.
  • You want your own columns, or several tables (standings, loot log, guild bank, applications) in one bot.
  • You want plain slash commands and a price that doesn't depend on member count.

Questions

Is there a Discord bot that can replace a DKP spreadsheet?

Yes. CoGM, Raid Warden and Guild.Rest track DKP, and all three offer loot auctions (CoGM's cover WoW: Forever and Monsters & Memories). CordBase replaces the sheet itself for any game: a standings table officers update with /dkp update row:<raider> dkp:10 _mode:Increment, a leaderboard and a loot log. It doesn't run auctions or decay.

Can CordBase run loot auctions or DKP decay?

No. Run the auction in chat or voice and record the winning bid with _mode:Decrement. Decay has to be applied by hand.

Can I import my existing DKP sheet into CordBase?

Not yet. There's no CSV import, so add raiders with /dkp add or in the dashboard. Paid plans can export any table to CSV or JSON.

Does CordBase work for EPGP?

Partly. You can keep EP and GP as number columns and increment them, but CordBase doesn't calculate the EP divided by GP priority.
